Cadillac of New Orleans is the newest member of the Benson Family of dealers. We are located right on the corner of Lime Street and Rye Street in METAIRIE, Louisiana. We are here to serve you and take care of all of your needs. Mr. Benson believed true success in business could only come by treating your customers, employees, and community like family. Those principles continue today under the ownership of Gayle Benson, who also owns and operates the New Orleans Saints and Pelicans.

About Tom Benson

Mr. Benson was a New Orleans native, Navy veteran, and graduate of Loyola University. Mr. Benson would have insisted that we add he was also a proud graduate of St. Aloysius (class of 1944). He started his professional career as an accountant at what would eventually be named Mike Persia Chevrolet. Under the mentorship of Mr. Persia, Mr. Benson quickly rose to prominence, becoming the owner of his first dealership by 1962. That first dealership, located in San Antonio, eventually became the largest Chevrolet dealer in Texas. Over the decades, Mr. Benson had overseen the remarkable successes of many dealerships, both in Texas and Louisiana.

In 1984, Mr. Benson purchased the New Orleans Saints, saving the franchise from potential relocation. With his attention more focused on professional sports, as well as philanthropic activities, several Benson dealerships were sold in the 1990's. The core that remained, particularly Best Chevrolet in Kenner and Mercedes-Benz of New Orleans, continued the legacy of excellence, earning legions of loyal customers along the way.

As of April 11th, 2017, Cadillac of New Orleans has been added to the Tom Benson line-up of dealerships.
